Graphic novels can be used as an educational tool to introduce academic literature elements in a non-threatening, entertaining environment. This class will introduce students to an ancient genre that has had a profound effect and worldly influence on culture, art, and literature on a global scale: Greek Mythology. The foundation of Greek mythology is the drama of the mythical Greek gods and goddesses. This class is a continuation of Reading Camp With Graphic Novels: The Olympians Part 1....
The goal of this class is to establish background information about Greek mythology to facilitate their academic journey into more complex Greek literature. Students will learn about the major Greek gods, their origins and significance.

Homework will be pre-reading for class discussion. Students will be given the opportunity to choose a character to read for. Students should spend an hour familiarize themselves with their character's dialogue and personality prior to next class for a dramatic and effective role play. On the last day of class, students will present their projects. Students will be required to create a story for Hestia, the Olympian without a book. The project should be presented in an art form such as PowerPoint presentation, poster drawings, construction paper illustrations...提供的成績
