**CREATING PHASE: (approximately 17 lesson hours to achieve mastery)
Children can independently spell words but may need more handwriting practice. Students are advancing in reading comprehension and speed, and creating stories through plot and genre practice.

Class Layout: 
~We will begin by brainstorming the story layout. 
~Let's review different story genres such as fantasy, mystery, biography, fiction, autobiography and figure out what genre your story is. 
~Outline the story and make a draft in your notebook - Let's spellcheck, practice superlatives, and improve handwriting
~Once the plot is mastered, let's add artwork using Canva! 
~Talk to your parents about possibly publishing it on Amazon KDP! Either way, it is yours forever to keep! 


** If you would like your child to learn or improve cursive, please let the teacher know and it can be incorporated into the lesson
