Is your child getting enough reading time with his/her teacher? If not, I am here to help. Read-In With Teacher Cindy is a 30-minute, 1:1 reading program for your child to practice reading aloud. I believe that finding "Just Right Book", exercising reading strategies and keeping a constant schedule is necessary for reading success. My plan is to develop a friendly, teacher relationship with your child. Hence, getting to know your child's interests, preferred superhero/ princess, favorite food/ movie/ animals/ color, previous travels etc. can give me a head start. I hope to establish a good foundation early on so we can dive into our virtual library. There is plenty of online books so if there is a book your child wants to read, please share it with me on ZOOM. If not, I will always be ready with an appropriately levelled book to share with your child. I will try my best to match his/her interests and knowledge base. I am a compassionate and professional teacher with one ultimate goal for your child. I hope your child logs off from each class feeling confident, happy and satisfied with his/her reading time with me. I look forward to reading with your child! You can look forward to a happy and confident reader.

Hello from Canada! My name is Cindy. I am married and have two young children ages nine and seven. I am a certified teacher in Alberta and Ontario. I have a Masters Degree in Distance Education from Athabasca University (Alberta, Canada) and a Bachelor Degree in Education from Concordia University of Edmonton (Alberta, Canada.) I have over ten years of teaching experience. I know all learners are unique and have different needs and abilities.
