This class is designed for young readers who know the sounds of the alphabet, many sight words and can read simple books. This class is NOT SUITABLE for children who cannot read yet. The reading levels for this class begin at Lexile reading level 25 to 30 (Guided Reading Levels B-C)and progress to level 150 (Guided Reading Levels (E-F). Teacher Expertise: I hold a B.S. in Psychology, a Master's Degree in Education, and a Ph.D. in Education. I am a licensed k-8 teacher, a licensed Reading Specialist, and a licensed ESL teacher. Throughout my life, I have taught children, adults, and my child. I have worked as a tenured education professor, an elementary teacher, a reading specialist, and an ESL teacher. I love to read, and I love to work with children. I am delighted to be teaching on the Outschool platform, and I look forward to working with you and your child.
