Learn about the elements of radial art and discover the calming effects of drawing this type of mandala-inspired art yourself. We’ll make our own homemade black scratch paper and draw a few pieces of art using this method. I have a degree in Social Work and have led social-emotional friendship groups and art-focused support groups to help kids learn ways to cope with stress along with 10 years of teaching general art to children in many settings.
Materials needed: Bamboo skewer or toothpick or wooden stylus that usually comes in a black scratch art paper set Three sheets of 9x11 White paper Markers Black crayon and multiple colors of crayons Optional if you enjoy using these: fine tip kwik stix or fine-tip gel crayons Scissors Optional: commercially sold Black Scratch Art Paper
