In this hands-on class, little learners will use a pumpkin to explore math and science. We will begin with a pumpkin-themed story , and each student will share what they enjoy most about this season. Then, it's time to get messy! Using spoons, we will scoop out the insides of our pumpkins and explore what we find inside with four of our senses (I don't recommend they taste!). Next, learners will use the pumpkin seeds to practice counting. We will use the provided ten frame and dice to...
Students will practice counting and build number sense using a ten frame. Students will also explore science in a hands-on way.
1 註冊後即可取得文件Small to medium sized pumpkin, vinegar (approximately 1-2 cups, depending on size of pumpkin), baking soda (1/2c), small amount of dish soap, and food coloring (optional). I will post a handout to be printed in the classroom prior to class.
