This class is an introductory course to Public Forum debate, one of the most popular forms of American competitive debate with a focus on current events issues and persuasive speaking. There are two main goals of this class. First, learners are encouraged to be confident in their public speaking and prioritize persuasion in their presentations. Second, learners will get to delve more into current events and global topics, allowing them to learn more about the world. With a coaching team of...
Learners will be given the debate topic a week in advance. If a learner is ever uncomfortable with a topic, they can opt to sit out a class and a refund will be provided.
