課堂經歷
The Basic Psychology Course is designed for younger learners. The students will learn through an interaction with both the teacher and other students. Students will learn the meaning of psychology, a brief history of psychology, different psychological approaches and careers in psychology (each topic will be covered in one session). The teacher will briefly lecture and provide slide(s) followed by discussion between the teacher and the students as well as the students with one another. There will be no sensitive topics covered and the students need not have any prior knowledge of psychology.

Week 1: The meaning of psychology and how it can be used as a career or in day-to-day life
Week 2: History of psychology from experimental psychologist Wendt to today
Week 3: 6 psychological approaches
Week 4: 7 psychology-related career choices

Hello! I am teacher Tammy Sullivan Vaughn!
I have a Master's degree in Psychology with an education focus. I also have a license as a counselor (LPC) and TESOL 140 hour certification to teach English as a 2nd language.
I love learning and teaching. Interactive learning with a conversational style might best describe my teaching style. I have taught for the last 5 years in a public school environment, private tutoring and online teaching. I also have experience teaching at the university level.
My professional experience also includes having a private counseling practice, managing a very large behavioral health center, managing a large foster care agency and directing a large literacy (ESL and tutoring of youth) for the county where I currently live.
