How can we, as theme park designers, use ratios to create a fun and profitable park for our patrons? This course uses a project-based learning approach. Real-world examples will make learning about ratios fun! Learners will take on the role of a theme park designer. We'll cover mathematical concepts related to ratios, rates, proportions, and geometry. We'll practice problems with real-world scenarios. Learners will apply their knowledge by creating their part of the amusement park project....
Students will learn strategies and mathematical concepts for solving problems with ratios, rates, and proportions. Students will learn how to solve word problems using these concepts. Students will apply and share their knowledge by planning a theme park attraction as part of a project-based learning experience.
Master's degree in education (M.Ed.) Classroom teaching experience including core subject areas of math, pre-algebra, algebra. Experience guiding successful Project-Based Learning experiences. Over 10 years of experience teaching and tutoring.
