Professional and academic writing skills are an important skill as students prepare themselves for the workplace. Although the concept appears relatively simple, many learners can feel overwhelmed by how to communicate and articulate their thoughts appropriately to the audience. 

In these classes, students will learn to write in a clear, concise style. Through lecture, examples, and practice exercises, participants will gain confidence in their ability to plan and to produce various forms of professional writing. Participants will learn how to identify and to correct their own grammar and usage problems. Strategies to revise and to proofread work will also be presented.

Students will learn how to maintain a professional and confident tone in written communication, in both emails and letters.

This class is most appropriate for those students wishing nearing the end of their school career and thinking about moving toward further education, such as college or university. 📝 MY EXPERIENCE 🗒️ 

I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland - the oldest professional accounting body in the world. The process to qualify spans years and over a dozen exams. It’s *gruelling* and throughout my career professional and academic writing has been essential to success! Throughout this process, and during my professional career, I have developed excellent writing taking skills and I will pass on these skills to your learner in class.
