These private one-on-one tutoring sessions will help your child to build confidence in whatever subject they need extra support in. Each session is customized based on the needs of the student. Parents, please  email the specific skill you would like for me to work on with your child. If you would have a specific homework assignment, please email the details along with any worksheets that need to be completed. During these sessions, your child will be able to interact 100% through conversation and sharing of what school subject they need to work on. 

You can expect that I will focus on what additional support your child needs. I have tutoring experience with youth in a variety of subjects including math and language arts (ELA). I can help with math process and the steps necessary to complete math problems. For math: I am available to help with basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. For Language Arts (ELA): I am available to help with identifying sentence structure, sentence diagraming where I can help with identifying key vocabulary of subject, verb, adverb, etc. My degree is in Fine Arts so I am available to discuss in detail art movements and artists as well as techniques utilized by these artists.  

About my teaching style: I gently encourage your learner to work on their lesson and try to keep our time together light and fun. I want them to enjoy school work and I understand that homework is sometimes hardest when parents try to help at the end of the day. 

Using a whiteboard or pencil and paper, the student will be able to visually see the steps needed to solve a problem as well as hear the steps. I will share my screen so the learner can see as well as hear while we work out a problem.  same care will be taken with language arts, I will utilize verbal and visual learning. I have also homeschooled my 2 children from Kindergarten through 7th. I look forward to helping out your child too!
