During these learner-directed, individualized one on one sessions, we will work together to develop the skills needed to play the piano and read music. We will meet online once a week for an hour session. At the beginning of each session, we will review previous material. Students will have an opportunity to show what they have been working on and ask questions. Following this, new materials and concepts will be introduced. Growing up, I took piano lessons for 9 years and completed up to Grade 8 with the Royal Conservatory of Music. I completed my bachelors degree in Music Education in 2014 and teaching practicum in 2015. I have been teaching music professionally in the public school system as well as private lessons since then.
This will be differentiated to meet students needs. A method book will be required to purchase. I suggest Piano Adventures by Nancy and Randall Faber.. Additionally, I will provide PDF theory worksheets to be completed during the week as well as lesson feedback.
