私人吉他課程 - 初學者以上

Welcome to my course! 

Throughout these lessons I will guide your child to an ever increasing understanding of music and self expression through the guitar.  My weekly private lessons are specifically tailored for young learners with minimal music experience.  I have taught hundreds of elementary and middle school aged children using a curriculum that I have developed throughout my teaching career. This involves:

- Tuning
- The fretboard and strings
- Basic technique 
- Notation
- Music Theory 

These concepts will be tackled in small, easily understood chunks over the course of several months.  After this initial learning phase, I encourage my students to find music that they enjoy, and I will help them learn music that makes them happy to play.  

I received a BA in Music at the University of South Carolina where I studied the classical guitar and guitar pedagogy.  I also attended the Fine Arts Center of Greenville, SC, for Jazz Studies, and I have experience playing rock, blues, metal, bluegrass, etc, so all styles of music are available to learn for my students.
