課堂經歷
I, Miss Margie, will teach the student how to draw well, and create beautiful works of art. This is not a good class for an uninterested beginner to simply keep them busy. If the student loves to draw, this is the class for them because it will take their drawings to a new level. I'm comprehensive and patient. I have the gift of explaining things well. Always have. This is a good choice for an affordable private art class. It's ongoing, so we will do many projects. This is not a craft...
- The student will learn the basic elements of all significant art. i.e. Line, Texture, Space (composition), Shape, Form, and Color. They will learn color theory by creating a color wheel from scratch, and learning all color blending techniques and principles. They will learn how to follow simple line drawings which are the foundation for great artists. They will follow along with Miss Margie, step by step, line by line, creating a beautiful drawing. It will usually take an average of three lessons to complete a finished drawing.
I've received a BA in Art. I taught art for over 20 years in the classroom. I've been drawing since I was a child and had my first professional art job in high school. I'm also a professional designer, creating surface pattern design for textiles and wallpaper. I enjoy the kids tremendously, and find enjoyment in watching them develop as artists.
