This class is intended for Emergent Readers and Writer - those who know a few sight words, most of the consonant sounds, can write most/ all capital letters and WANT TO LEARN TO READ. As a first grade teacher for 25 years for both struggling and gifted students (and all students in-between), I will use my expertise to customize support for your child in advancing their literacy skills. Homework

Depending on the focus of our work there - homework will vary and at least 10 minutes between sessions will be expected and then sent back to me for review. Students will be expected to practice sight words and read assigned books.
