In the first class, your child will be given a comprehensive literacy assessment which will cover the following skills: letter identification, letter sound knowledge, phonics skills, phonological awareness, sight word knowledge, reading comprehension, and independent reading level versus instructional reading level. *This first class may take longer than 30 minutes and possibly up to 60 minutes for older students. After the initial assessment class, I will share the results with you via Outschool email. Then, if you would like, we can set up private 1:1 tutoring instruction that will be individualized and tailored to your child's reading needs. I will use books on your child's instructional reading level and we will do activities to improve any areas of weakness. The reading tutoring sessions will be 30 minutes in length.  You can schedule these for once or twice weekly. Please feel free to let me know what days and times work best for you.
