In this class, students will learn what the prime numbers are less than 50. The factor tree will introduce the students to prime factorization and how to factor backwards. During this class teacher and student interaction is constant. Questions are encouraged. The class is hands-on, visual, and auditory. Students will be able to look at a number and know if it is a prime number or not. If the number is not a prime number, students will be able to use a factor tree to factor numbers to their prime factors.
