課堂經歷
In this one-time Preschool story time class, Learners will listen to a read-aloud of the book “Pete The Cat Big Easter Adventure” by Kimberly and James Dean. This will be followed by a math game called “Roll and Cover.” Learners will have a game board that has Easter Bunnies with the numbers one through six written them. (The game board can be printed from the class page. Please print 2 copies.) Learners will take turns rolling the dice and calling out the number on the dice. Learners will cover or circle that number each time it appears on their card until all six numbers are covered. We will close with Easter songs (e.g. 5 Little Easter Eggs and The Bunny Hokey Pokey) and the Goodbye song. Note this class only deals with the secular part of Easter.

I am passionate about early childhood literacy and literacy has always been an integral part of my classroom. I have seven years teaching experience with preschool-aged children. I hold a Professional Educators license with endorsements in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and a concentration in Reading and Language Arts. I will be doing focused story times often integrating reading with math, science, and social studies. I will also be doing “double features” which feature two books that are the same in some way: topic, author, or series. My favorite is reading a fiction and non-fiction book on the same topic. This is a fun way to introduce young readers to non-fiction. My classes are interactive with songs and games. I enjoy traveling and going to museums and plays. 評論
