This class will prepare students for college level Introduction to Psychology by introducing the various sub-disciplines (e.g., Research Methods, Human Diversity, Emotions, Sensation and Perception, Cognition, Social Psychology, Intelligence, Disorders, Therapy, etc.) that are taught using "Introduction to Psychology" by Myers and DeWall 13th edition (2021). Week 1Lesson 1What is PsychologyThis lesson will introduce the history of Psychology and the methods that are used to conduct research.Week 2Lesson 2Nature, Nurture, and Human DiversityThis lesson will introduce the diversity involved in human behavior.Week 3Lesson 3Emotions and StressThis lesson will introduce the importance of emotions and stress, such as why these concepts are important and how we use them to communicate.Week 4Lesson 4MemoryThis lesson will discuss the concept of memory formation and provide alternative methods of memorizing information.Week 5Lesson 5Biology of the MindThis lesson will introduce the biological aspect that influence human behavior, such as neurons, thresholds, and nervous systems.Week 6Lesson 6Sensation and PerceptionThis lesson will discuss the differences between sensation and perception and how these can be altered by external variables.Week 7Lesson 7ConsciousnessThis lesson will discuss the different types of consciousness and introduce substances that can alter consciousnessWeek 8Lesson 8MidtermThis week, students will have a practice midterm that is provided to in-person students at a 4-year university. I have received my Masters in Science (MS) in Experimental Psychology from Idaho State University (ISU). I have taught Introduction to Psychology at ISU for three years (online and in person). I have taught classes with 50-150 students and have received positive evaluations for each class (message me for my curriculum vitae or evaluations).

Students will have optional assignments to complete each week which can be answered by watching the lectures and PowerPoints. Students that complete the assignments will receive constructive feedback. Students can individually complete the assignment in 1-2 hours per week.提供的評估
This class does not require assessment since it is used to introduce a college level class; however, I can provide assessments if the guardian or student prefers it.提供的成績
I will provide all materials for the students (assignments). Students will have access to college level quizzes and exams which can be graded without the risk of passing or failing a class. This will provide a great experience and prepare students for higher level exams. I will also provide instructions (at different difficulty levels) for the exams.

This course introduces many aspects of human behavior (e.g., culture, diversity, sexuality, development, etc.); however, guardians and students can message me for more information (or if students want to be excluded from a specific topic). Additionally, it is not my job to indoctrinate students but provide information. I will be providing an unbiased perspective.
I use material from "Introduction to Psychology" by Myers and DeWall 2021 13th Ed.; however, it is not required for this course. I will provide all information through the lecture and supplementary information through videos.
