Kick reading comprehension struggles to the curb! We’ve got this! In this four week course, we will practice using tips and tricks to assist struggling readers with high-interest passages. We will focus on what to do before you read (access prior knowledge), while you are reading (active reading), and after you read (making connections). Each class will have a warm-up activity, presentation, and practical application of skills learned. I am excited to help my students reach their reading potential!

Students will be improving their reading comprehension by applying proven strategies to high-interest passages. For four weeks, I will teach students eight practical skills that will enhance their skills immediately.

I love that I get to help people develop a lifelong love of reading and newfound confidence in themselves. I believe that everyone can read when they are provided with the right toolkit.
