Police K-9 dogs are fascinating to watch in action and to learn all their amazing abilities! In this class, learners will learn much more than the daily life of a police K-9 dog. They will be exposed to all aspects of how K-9 dogs work, popular breeds, training, commands, and much more. This class is the shorter, 30-minute class version of my full, 55-minute class. My husband is a K-9 Handler. His canine partner is a Belgian Malinois dog named Amigo. Amigo is a member of our family, goes to work each day, and has time off just like any other police officer. This topic shows what the life of a police dog is like as well as the lifestyle of the humans who care for him. All dogs are special, but working dogs such as Police K-9s have very specific training and daily routines. At home, I provide assistance to my husband in the care of Amigo.
