1. How do musicians make creative decisions? 
2. How do musicians improve the quality of their creative work? 
3. How do performers select repertoire? 
4. When is a performance judged ready to present? How do context and the manner in which musical work is presented influence audience response? 

Move towards mastery of the pitched percussion by diving deeper into your studies. This includes xylophones, marimbas, bells, glockenspiel, piano. You may bring 1 instrument or switch between instruments every week. The constant is the music and the elements. If you are switching between instruments, there is a greater dependency from the learner to engage and think through the transfer elements. 

Participants will study 3 pieces of personally selected music, or choose to continue their studies from previous classes. This music is an additional cost to the course and we will study all works at the same time, drawing connections and transferring the knowledge and discussion of music elements of pitch, rhythm, and structure.

We will draw themes upon the similarities and address technical differences based on the conversations brought to the table by the learner and their instrument.

The selected musical repertoire will drive our conversation of the identification of musical elements: texture, harmony, and expression.

By the end of this course, learners will have the confidence to perform comfortably threading together transfer skills of music on keyboard instruments.

課 1:
Pitch organization
 Study of inversions and 3 qualities of intervals. These are complex pitch organizational structures.

Patterns
 Identify patterns by sight and immediate recall. How do we use deliberate practice patterns to learn more music that varies our styles, genres, and experiences.

Melodies
 Accurately perform the motion of a melody by fluidly moving through skips and steps. We will use sight techniques and visual to sound connections to anticipate "what do I do next" when it comes to following the instructions of a piece of music.

Chords
 Move between chords and create a chord progression. What are the larger patterns in music and how are the replicated across pieces, styles, genres, ensembles?
