This is a beginning, no experience needed, piano class. We will be using the Faber Primer Level book in class for guidance. Topics that we will cover throughout the classes are: the music alphabet, piano posture, hand posture, finger numbers, the quarter note, the half note, the whole note, the grand staff, the treble clef, and the bass clef. We will begin the class with finger exercises and a quick warm-up. We will then begin covering material that is outlined in the syllabus. As we...
Our goals are to become familiar with the piano and how to find different notes on the piano. Students will also be able to identify a quarter note, half note, and whole note.
