What will be taught? Piano lessons. Depending on the student's level and experience, we will decide which books are best for the student. What topics will we cover? We will work on new pieces, and theory lessons, and review old pieces, scale, and technique. How is our class structured? We usually start the lesson by going over the weekly assignment answering all the questions and playing the pieces that the student practiced over the week then work on a new piece, new theory lesson, or technique. How will I teach? When starting a new piece, I will start by talking about the piece before playing. The name, composer, pointing out anything new that the student hasn't seen, and then demonstrating the new concepts and asking the student to start playing so we can go over the piece in more detail. My classes are very interactive. There will be lots of opportunities for the student to play their pieces and ask their questions.
