Objectives: The basics of piano 1. Students will meet each other and play for each other if they can play any pieces yet. 2. Proper positioning at the keyboard. 3. Finger numbers 4. Note names 5. Keyboard geography ( where high and low sounds, up and down on the keyboard) 6. What is a pitch 7. Beginning note reading starts, introducing note values (e.g. what is a quarter note) 8. Volume levels are introduced (playing loud and soft on the keyboard or piano) 9. Students learn to play by...
Students will become familiar with the keyboard and get used to playing music using property technique. I will take requests of pieces that learners want to learn and try to accommodate that. Students will build a sense of confidence that they can learn music. Students will be set on a path with a strong foundation in music and have fun. Some interaction with others. Being a good listener.
