Hello! Welcome to Phonics Under Construction. In this one-time class, learners will take a hands-on approach to phonics, learning how to segment sounds and blend them together to make simple words. This engaging class will keep learners wanting more. This one-time class offers an overview of letter construction. Learners will have an opportunity to review several letter names and sounds. Once they have reviewed, learners will begin to construct those sounds together to make CVC (constant-vowel-constant) words. **Class Structure** Welcome ABC song Review letters names and sounds( c,o,a,d,t,m,s) Construct CVC words ( cod, cat, mat, mom, dad, sad) If time allows, more words will be added. Goodbyes *** I will use engaging slides and discussions to help enhance learners' experience.
