每週 2-4 小時. Learners will be receiving immediate feedback throughout the lesson that they may or may not be able to apply during their lesson. The last 3 minutes of the lesson will be used to summarize their performance/lesson of their assigned music and will be given at least 3 areas of improvement to prepare for the following lesson. These areas of improvement will be attainable so long as the student practices their instrument outside of their lesson time (2-4 hours per week/30 minutes a day).進度報告

In this 30 minute advanced trombone lesson, the learner will have individualized goals and instruction, tailored to their learning needs and repertoire being prepared. The topics this lesson will cover will range from fundamentals (scales, arpeggiated exercises, and etudes), all-state competition music, solo music, and college audition music. This class will be structured as follows: first 5 minutes of class will be used for review and goal setting, next 22 minutes of class will be used for performance and immediate feedback, and the last 3 minutes of class will be used to summarize lesson and communicate what needs to be practiced and prepared for the next lesson. Every learner requires different needs and learning strategies, and as a public school music educator, I understand that these needs are of the upmost priority in effectively providing instruction for learners. With that being said, each learner may receive specific learning styles, for example, auditory methods such as singing and or performing the music for them, visual methods such as highlighting or writing specific notation on their music, and kinesthetic methods such as performing on their trombone, clapping various rhythms, and/or body movement to internalize beats. Learners will interact with me via zoom through lecture/video conference and or add a discussion post in the class to communicate throughout the week if they may have any questions or concerns about the music they are preparing.

Students will be able to perform music in a variety of genres at an increasing level of difficulty, perform from notation and by memory as appropriate, and develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills.

Recommended prerequisites are as follows: student must have 3 consecutive years playing their trombone, has competed in all-region competitions, and has performed a solo for their director/adjudicator.

We will utilize a verity of trombone method books tailored to the needs of individual students. If the student already has a specific method book, solo music, and/or college audition music, we will utilize their materials. If the student is in need of such materials, those materials will be shared/discussed after our first class/goal setting.

I have been performing the trombone for seventeen years, teaching professionally as a public school band director for five years, and am currently pursuing a masters in music. I have taught grades 3 to 12, and have had students achieve all-state recognition and acceptance to major university music programs.
