Welcome to Percy Jackson's Summer Odyssey Book Club Adventure! This multi-week journey is designed for young readers aged 10-14 who are eager to explore the captivating world of Percy Jackson and Greek mythology. What will be taught? Participants will delve into the thrilling adventures of Percy Jackson as he navigates the challenges of being a demigod, discovers his true identity, and battles mythical monsters and ancient gods. Along the way, they will explore themes of friendship, bravery, and the power of believing in oneself. What topics will you cover? Each week, we will focus on a different book in the Percy Jackson series, diving into its plot, characters, and themes. Participants will explore the world of Greek mythology, learn about legendary gods, goddesses, and monsters, and uncover the secrets of Camp Half-Blood. How is your class structured? The class will meet weekly for interactive sessions that blend discussion, activities, and creative projects. Each session will be tailored to the specific book being covered that week, allowing participants to fully immerse themselves in Percy's adventures. How will you teach? I employ a dynamic teaching style that emphasizes active participation, critical thinking, and creativity.
