In this class, I will discuss with students the challenges, responsibilities, and rewards of dog ownership. I will facilitate discussion and thought-provoking questions to allow them to assess their own readiness. I will give an overview of the cost of having a new dog, and the type of equipment needed (ie: leash, collar, food bowl etc.). We will talk about what to expect for the first few days and months after bringing a puppy home. This will include how to bond with their new puppy, a brief...
* All ages welcome* The students will gain a greater understanding of what it takes to own a puppy and their responsibilities and role in caring for a new pet. They will be more prepared and motivated to save money and budget for the expenses of a new puppy and they will be better equipped with the knowledge they need to have a successful start in puppy ownership.
