Mythical animals are exciting for students to learn about because they bring us into a fantastical world where anything can happen. This class is perfect for animal lovers of all kinds- real or fictional. In the first part of this class, we will learn about three popular mythical creatures: unicorns, mermaids, and phoenixes. Information will be received through a power point which will include pictures, videos, and text. The information will also be shared verbally so everyone, regardless...
Students will improve their speaking and listening skills by researching mythical animals and then discussing what they learned. They will also learn how to write an effective paragraph with a main idea statement, supporting details, and a conclusion sentence using the ideas we discussed during class.
I have been an English teacher for 15 years and I love mythical creatures! I have researched and taught this subject many time to kids of all ages.
