They will then have the opportunity to recite, read, or echo the poem. We will discuss the poems as a group, focusing on story and mood, while learning basic poetic devices. We will also study a work of art that reflects the spirit of the poem, leading the young learners to create their own images....
-literarcy: reading, echoing, identifying poetic devices, acquisition of new vocabulary -creative: creating artworks and poems -fine motor skills: cutting, gluing, painting, drawing, working with markers and pencils, using fingerpaint -cognitive: shapes, perspective -social: sharing artworks and poems, discussing poetry and art as part of a group
