Beginner 等級
In this 4 week self paced class we will learn about 4 different artists (O'keeffe, Matisse, Van Gogh and Renoir ) and create art pieces that are inspired by their work and with a Fall theme! We will talk about their genre of art, create pieces to be proud of, and learn about the artists. Learners will post pictures and/or video of their work (and their works in progress) on the classroom page so that the teacher can give feedback and encouragement on their pieces. 4 lessons//4 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Georgia O'keeffeExplore Georgia O'Keeffe, an artist inspired by the Southwest's stunning landscapes! We'll look at her work, including "Fall Leaves," then create our own fall-themed masterpieces using crayons and watercolors. Post your work on the classroom page for feedback and celebrate your artistic journey!Week 2Lesson 2Henri MatisseDive into the vibrant world of Henri Matisse, a post-impressionist and Fauve artist known for his bold colors and unique style! We'll talk about his work, like "Green Pumpkin," then recreate our own Matisse-inspired masterpieces.Week 3Lesson 3Pierre RenoirLet's explore the world of Pierre Renoir, an Impressionist pioneer! We'll recreate one of his pumpkin paintings using crayons and watercolors, adding our own creativity to our pieces.Week 4Lesson 4Vincent Van GoghLet's explore Vincent Van Gogh, a super famous artist! We'll learn about his life and colorful paintings, then create our own fall landscapes with watercolors and crayons. Get ready for some fun Van Gogh-inspired activities too!
Each learner will need: - A watercolor set - A brush (any size will do) - A cup with water to clean the brush - Set of crayons (or oil pastels) - Heavy white paper (watercolor paper is preferred but not completely necessary) - Table protection (newspaper, butcher paper etc). - Smock or old t-shirt to keep the paints off of your child's clothing - Print out of the painting for the week (optional)
