In this class we use acrylic paints to create a lovely, festive Christmas tree scene with colorful presents. Each artisit will learn acrylic painting techniques to add texture and color. We will discuss basic color and composition theory to create a harmonious painting. The supply list includes colors I will be demonstrating with, but learners are always allowed and encouraged to change any colors and elements to their tastes. Learners of all experience levels will be able to create a beautiful painting with techniques demonstrated step by step. Once complete, this canvas painting makes a great decor piece or holiday gift.

10x10" canvas Acrylic paints in green, red, yellow, white and black. Gold paint can also be used for fun, but isn't required. Pencil One round paint brush, and one flat 1" brush

Hello! I can't wait to learn and share with you! I have a bachelors degree in history, a doctorate in law, and certifications in photography and therepeudic art . I love learning, and teaching others.
I am a mom to 5 amazing kids, ages 17, 15, 14, 11, and 9. I've taught art classes for over 25 years and have worked with all ages. I am excited to reach out to even more students on this Outschool. I believe with Pablo Picasso that, "Every child is an artist." And my goal as an art teacher is to make sure we all have the desire and confidence to keep being creative and enjoy a life full of learning. Because just as Picasso said, "The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up."
I homeschool my 3 youngest children for several years, and now all 5 are home with me. I love teaching them art and history. I love using my passion for history to teach how the events of our past have shaped our future.
When I am not teaching, our family travels. I love to travel to see the original art I study and teach about, and the geography that has inspired artists and influenced our history.評論
