Students will learn the following vocabulary: Universe, Solar System, Planets, Sun, Moon, Stars, Orbit, Gravity. They will also learn How the Planets and Moon Orbit and How Gravity works. Students will take turns reading in class from the power points provided by the Teacher. We will also have discussions about what we have learned. My goal is to give students time to think about why all of these things are important to us and how we use them to live each day. We will enjoy open-ended conversations and fun group discussions. While in class I will be helping your child with making sure they are using the correct pronunciation and grammatical structures for the English language. This is an ESL class. The student will be one on one with the teacher to ensure that the focus is given to the class and learning the English language. I look forward to seeing you in my class!

Correct English pronunciation, and grammatical structure of sentences.
Use Vocabulary words to identify meaning and correctly use them in sentences.
Be able to talk about the way the Planets and Moon orbit.
Discuss how gravity works and its importance.
Building confidence to talk about this topic in the English language.

Hello! My name is Teacher Tabitha. It's so nice to meet you. I am very excited to teach your child. I teach classes that include English, History, Science, Math, Sport, and Cooking. I believe that by bringing multiple and even all subjects into the classroom we can better relate what we learn to the real world. I have been cooking for over 20 years. I have over 5 years teaching in traditional and non-traditional classrooms. I have a Bachelors Degree in education from Miami University of Ohio. I am passionate about my students and their learning. I promote proper pronunciation, reading skills, creative thinking, and conversational skills. When I am not teaching I love to cook and spend time with my family. I love to be outdoors and love the ocean and mountains. My dream vacation is Disney every time! No matter how many times I have been! In college I pole vaulted as a Division I athlete.
