From head to toe, learn all about our amazing bodies in this semester long class! In this 12 week course, students will learn all about the human body! We will learn about different parts of the body during each class, including the skin, bones, heart, brain, and stomach! This class will help students learn more about our bodies and why they do the things they do. From how much snot we produce in a single day to why we have eye boogers, we will learn all about these amazing parts of our body! In addition to direct teacher instruction about the parts of the body, discussions, and interactive activities will also be included in each session of this class. Fun, interesting, and gross facts will also be shared. Students will participate in hands-on activities to help better understand the parts of the body! Come ready to learn all about the amazing things our bodies can do! Session 1: In this class we will learn all about our muscles! Session 2: In this class we will learn all about our heart! Session 3: In this class we will learn all about the brain! Session 4: In this class we will learn all about bones! Session 5: In this class we will learn all about our eyes! Session 6: In this class we will learn all about our nose! Session 7: In this class we will learn all about our mouths and our tongue! Session 8: In this class we will learn all about our ears! Session 9: In this class we will learn all about our stomach! Session 10: In this class we will learn all about poop and pee! Session 11: In this class we will learn all about our skin! Session 12: In this class we will learn all about other parts of our body, including our belly button and our feet!

Hello! My name is Amy and I have been a teacher for 20 years! I have taught early childhood and elementary grade levels, ESL students, college students, and adults through various institutions!
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have a Master of Science degree in Educational and Instructional Technology. In addition, I am certified to teach Reading in grades K-8 and all Middle School subjects. I have also obtained my TESOL endorsement.
My philosophy of teaching combines a few different educational theories. I am a strong believer of constructivist and brain-based learning and incorporate both into my instruction. I want to make learning interesting, engaging, fun, and challenging so that students are excited to learn and are more engaged in their learning. I incorporate differentiated instruction and multiple methods of instruction to meet the diverse needs of the students. I also strive to create a learning environment that supports social emotional learning and competency. I use a variety of technological sources in many of my classes, including PowerPoint, YouTube, and other digital resources. I love to incorporate technology, music, and a variety of other teaching methods to help reach all learners!
I reside in Arizona, USA with my husband, 4 children, 3 dogs, and 2 guinea pigs! Reading is my favorite hobby and I love animals. My favorite place in the world is the beach and I love to swim!
I teach reading classes, book clubs, science classes, and other fun learning classes. I offer a wide variety of classes on Outschool. I will work hard to make sure your child enjoys my classes!
