Week 1Lesson 1Affixes: Prefixes re-, mis-Learners will review all morphemes learned in semester one and add the prefixes re- and mis-. - Students will improve their understanding of the English language, its history and structure, its grammar and usage rules, and spelling and writing conventions.
I am a certified elementary teacher with years of experience in preschool and second grade. I have also taught ESL for 3 years on-line, and hold an MA in Teaching from Dominican University. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach through IMSE (30-hour morphology plus course) and the Reed Charitable Foundation (30-hour classroom educator course).

Each quick writing assignment should take less than 30 minutes, and is due the following third day of class (if assigned on a Wednesday, the next part of the writing project is due the following Wednesday).Assessment

**Note: No additional supplies needed beyond those requested in semester 1. Those items are copied below for reference. All learners should use a 1-inch 3-ring binder with dividers (5 or more is fine). Print-outs will be provided each week and these should be added to the notebook for student reference (having a 3-hole punch can be very helpful). All learners should bring a whiteboard and marker, as well as a pencil, to each class. In addition, learners should have a set of notecards that are 4x6 inches and come in 5 colors: yellow, blue, lavender, pink, and green.
