In this ongoing art class is great for middle school artists of all levels, no experience is needed. I teach via "tell, show, do and feedback" which is very similar to the "gradual release" model used in schools. Each month there will be a theme or central focus for the projects that the students create, all tied together using National Standards for Visual Arts. National Art Standard: Va:cr2.1.7a : Demonstrate persistence in developing skills with various materials, methods, and approaches in creating works of art or design. National Art Standard: Va:cr2.3.6a : Design or redesign objects, places, or systems that meet the identified needs of diverse users. National Art Standard: Va:re7.2.7a: Analyze multiple ways that images influence specific audiences. National Art Standard: Va:re9.1.6a : Develop and apply relevant criteria to evaluate a work of art.
I have my Bachelor's degree in Fine Art from FGCU and was an art teacher for four years. I love teaching drawing, painting and sculpture to learners of all ages.
