Thank you for taking an interest in this class! In this class, I will focus on specific areas that relate to the student enrolled. Topics that will be covered per grade level are listed below. Preschool/Pre-K: I will cover topics including the alphabet, recognizing upper and lower case letters, phonetic sounds, phonemic awareness, phonological awareness, numbers 1-20, patterns, shapes, etc. ESL/ELL: These classes will be tailored toward students who are just beginning to learn English. We will cover the alphabet, colors, numbers, counting, and many other subjects. In order to allow the learner to practice their speech and pronunciation, the main focus of the class will be based on conversation. I will encourage the learner to ask questions and guide them on how to answer the questions I ask. I will have worksheets and slides to present to the learners in class to help with visuals. Social Skills: Question and answer segments, games, show and tell, etc. For all classes, I encourage parents to send me a message with any specific areas they would like their learners to focus on.

Hi! My name is Teacher Naheed, and I love teaching young children. I teach pre-school and elementary classes online. I have a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and Management, and I'm currently enrolled with Texas Teachers to obtain my teaching certificate to begin teaching in the classroom. I also homeschool my son. I have beginner classes that children can build on, and move we up to the next level, as well as fun classes where children can learn through play! I also offer 1-1 private classes for young learners to help them prepare for school. Please message me for these, and I can work in 20-30 minutes classes according to your schedule. They can be multiple days a week, so your child can establish a routine with the teacher.
My teaching style correlates with the science of reading method. I heavily focus on phonological awareness and phonics. I believe children with a strong understanding of letters and sounds will be successful readers and writers. Many of my classes have a phonemic awareness portion, which I believe is a helpful practice for young learners.
The energy kids have is contagious, and I love it! I have two little boys of my own, and they keep me entertained daily. We explore the world together, and make sure we stay positive and focus on the things that make us happy. I encourage all children to embrace themselves, and what they love about life! In my classes, children are free to talk as little or as much as they like. I encourage a positive, fun and friendly environment in my classes. And most of all, I encourage being kind to one another.
