課堂經歷

美國等級 Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
這門課是在 英語講授的。
I have highlighted below the student learning goals expected after each week of completed lessons. Keep in mind that we will review these skills progressively throughout the week - not all in one day. Each week is designed to become more challenging for the student, however, this is not a lectured style class.

The student will be able to:

Week 1 (Lessons 1-2) - identify & write lowercase letters (Aa, Mm, Tt, Ss); identify and write CVC blends (short a words); identify beginning sounds; identify rhymes (cat - sat, sam - am); identify consonants and vowels with letters (a, m, t, s); identify sight words: a, and, away, big, blue; identify and write numbers 1-3 and number words one-three; count one-to-one with 3 objects/pictures; identify big/small; identify circle; identify red, blue

Week 2 (Lessons 3-4) - identify & write lowercase letters (Ii, Ff, Dd, Rr); identify and write CVC blends (short e words); identify beginning sounds; identify rhymes (rim-dim, mit-fit); identify consonants and vowels with letters (i, f, d, r); identify sight words: can, come, down, find, for; identify and write numbers 1-5 and number words one-five; count one-to-one with 5 objects/pictures; identify more/less; identify triangle; identify colors and words yellow, green

Week 3 (Lessons 5-6) - identify and write lowercase letters (Oo, Gg, Ll, Hh); identify and write CVC blends (short i words); identify beginning sounds; identify sight words: identify sight words: funny, go, help, here, I; identify consonants and vowels with letters (o, g, l, h); identify and write numbers 1 (one) -10 (ten); count one-to-one with objects up to number 10; identify up-down, stop-go; identify square; identify colors and words purple, orange; identify AB patterns

Week 4 (Lessons 7-8) - identify and write lower case letters (Uu, Cc, Bb, Nn); identify and write CVC blends (short o words); identify beginning sounds; identify sight words: in, is, it, jump, little; identify consonants and vowels with letters (u, c, b, n); identify and write numbers 11-15; count one-to-one with objects up to 15; identify above/below, under/on top of; identify rectangle; identify colors and words pink, brown; identify ABAB patterns

Week 5 (Lessons 9-10) - identify and write lowercase letters (Kk, Ee, Vv, Ww, Qq); identify and write CVC blends (short u words); identify ending sounds; identify sight words: look, make, me, my, not; identify consonants and vowels with letters (k, e, v, w); identify and write numbers 1-15; count one-to-one with objects up to 15; identify top/bottom, long/short; identify trapezoid; identify colors and words black, white; identify AABB patterns

Week 6 (Lessons 11-12) - identify and write lowercase letters: (Jj, Pp, Yy, Zz, Xx); identify and write CVC blends (short vowels); identify ending sounds; identify sight words: one, play, red, run, said; identify consonants and vowels with letters (j, p, y); identify and write numbers 16-20; count one-to-one with objects up to 20; count by 10s to 100; identify in front of/behind, near/far; identify diamond; review all basic colors and color words; identify AABB patterns

We will also review basic reading strategies such as the parts of a book, real and pretend, and we will work on building language skills through analyzing picture cards. Our daily greeting at the beginning of class will include a quick review of the days of the week, months of the year, the weather, and the season.

This is not an exhaustive list of exactly what I will say or do during a live class, and please keep in mind that working with pre-k children requires flexibility. These are the desired learning goals, but more important than specific learning goals are the specific needs of the child. I always focus on the "need" first.

I have worked with preschool/elementary children for the past 12 years. Every child is unique in their own way. Every child requires differing levels of attention and practice.

If you want your child to succeed, pay attention to their individual needs and interests first, but at the same time, be consistent in your efforts in teaching them. Establish a time and a place that you will sit with them every day to complete "school time". Consistency will help them to develop expectations for what is coming next.

Additional enrichment activities will be sent to you prior to each new learning week to support each week’s learning goals. The suggested enrichment packet will be based upon that week’s lesson content and additional challenges for your child's learning. Enrichment activities are encouraged to be completed Monday-Friday (at least 10-15 minutes a day) and especially on the days that your child does not have a live class with me. We will not review these assignments during class, but you are highly encouraged to review them with your child to further enhance your child’s learning outcomes. I also LOVE to receive pictures of your child's completed work in a private message! This also boosts their motivation to complete their assignments each week!

Here is a link to an assessment to help you track your child's learning progress this summer! This assessment will provide you with a checklist of skills to assess where your child stands developmentally and academically. With defined assessment results, you will be able to focus on helping your child sharpen and improve skills they have challenges with to promote their preparedness for Kindergarten. Here is the link to this resource (right now it is free!) https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Preschool-Skills-Checklist-889323
提供的成績
PDF enrichment packets should be printed and completed weekly.

It also recommended and encouraged to provide your learner with a whiteboard/dry erase marker for writing activities. If they are not able to write fluently, you can substitute with alphabet letter magnets so they can spell words we practice in class.

Students may also need these basic supplies to complete weekly enrichment activities:
1. scissors
2. glue
3. crayons
4. pencil
5. markers

You will need access to a printer to print the weekly materials that I will provide.
學習者無需使用標準 Outschool 工具以外的任何應用程式或網站。
