Welcome parents and SAT students ! The difference between an average score and a high or perfect score on the MATH SAT are the TOUGH QUESTIONS Some of the question topics include: 1. Week of July 22 > Functions 2. Week of July 29 > Equations of a Circle 3. Week of August 5 > Systems of Equations 4. Week of August 12 > Exponential Equations And many more up until test time ! Hi, I’m Kevin O’Brien—better known as Mr. O or Coach Kevin—and I’m here to help you tackle math with confidence !
My journey as an educator spans over 20 years, from serving in the Peace Corps in West Africa to teaching in the vibrant classrooms of New York City. Along the way, I’ve discovered one universal truth: confidence is the key to success—in math and in life.
I specialize in grades 5-9 Math and SAT Math Prep, creating a supportive, empowering space where students feel encouraged to take on challenges, make mistakes, and learn from them. In my classes, math isn’t just about solving problems; it’s about removing blockages to success, and building the confidence and resilience to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.
My mission is simple: to help you see your potential and believe in yourself. Whether you’re mastering algebra problems, preparing for the SAT, or just looking to strengthen your math skills, we’ll work together to break through mental blocks, boost your confidence, and celebrate wins along the way.
