This class integrates American Sign Language and Kids Yoga. Learn ASL vocabulary for ocean habitats and life. Sign songs in ASL. Receive detailed explanations of hand signs and repetition. Invite healthy movement that increases confidence, strength, flexibility, and balance while becoming familiar with breath awareness as you engage in ocean-themed Kids Yoga. Students need no prior experience or knowledge. Classes range from 17-25 minutes. Experience my passion, energy, and love of teaching ASL and Kids Yoga! Come learn and have fun with me!

ASL helps special needs students by reinforcing vocabulary & improving comprehension, expression, & communication. Yoga's kinesthetics helps kids with ADHD & autism by increasing coordination, focus, & strength while decreasing anxiety.

For the yoga classes: There is always a risk of injury for physical activities. Please encourage your child to follow instructions and move how it feels most comfortable. Don't go beyond your limits. Please have water available to drink during class.

I have taught Little Signers ASL to preschool and elementary students over the past 10 years. I have taught Kids Yoga, Family Yoga, and Baby Toddler Me Yoga since 2012. I have a Masters in Education with a certification in K-6th, biology, and earth science. I have a Bachelors of Science in Biology with an Environmental Studies minor. I am a former public school teacher of 5 yrs and homeschool teacher of 10 yrs. I completed ASL I, II, III, & V in college and interpret for a Deaf family in church. I am a 200 hr certified Yoga Teacher with additional certifications in Kids Yoga, Mommy Me Yoga, and Prenatal Yoga. In addition to teaching on Outschool, I teach a weekly live online Little Signers class.
I've taught Kids Yoga with Parks & Recreation, Camp Kum-Ba-Yah summer camp and after-school program, and STEM camps. I taught weekly in-person and online Kids Yoga at Governors Charter Academy for 4 yrs. Kids Yoga is my passion! Come sign and do yoga with me!
