In this 4-week class learners will read the book "Babe: The Gallant Pig" by Dick King-Smith and discuss it with their classmates. Learners will need to have a copy of the book and will be assigned chapters to read on there own outside of class. Then, during the live meeting the instructor will facilitate a discussion of the assigned reading. Questions will start with a check for basic understanding of the chapters read and will move on to more in-depth, open-ended topics that require...
Students will read and discuss the Novel "Babe: The Gallant Pig." Students will practice thinking critically about the reading material to answer thought-provoking questions related to the book. Students will sharpen their writing skills by completing short written assignments on topics related to the book.

Students will need to read the assigned chapters of the book each week before coming to the live meeting so that they can actively participate in class discussions.
