課堂經歷
Each week we will explore a new engaging theme, such as occupations (10/5), travel (10/12), artists (10/19), masterpieces (10/26), memories (11/2), landmarks (11/9), leaders (11/16), or collaboration (11/23). 1) We will begin class with an interactive memory game in which we learn something about each other. 2) Next, I will share a quote, short story, or anecdote about our theme. 3) Then, we will play a game focused on expressing ourselves with our voices. 4) We will continue with a game focused on expressing ourselves with our bodies. 5) I’ll lead a couple of more involved activities that require us to use our voices and bodies to creatively explore the concept of our theme. 6) We will conclude class by each sharing something we learned or enjoyed during our class session. Participants will be supported in offering their own ideas with extra prompts as needed in a patient and supportive environment. Shy students will be gently prodded and bold students guided to focus their creativity. We'll practice replicating, describing, analyzing, expressing, interpreting, and creating with a daily goal of treasuring each chance to learn together.

1) Each student will feel valued as a part of the community, even if only for that 45 minutes.
2) Each student will learn something new and useful in every meeting, whether it is a historic or scientific fact, new vocabulary, or a concept they haven’t encountered.
3) Each student will practice skills for interaction: speaking clearly, being heard, expressing themselves confidently, taking turns, acknowledging each other, and balancing focus and fun.
