We will enjoy the Newberry Honor book, The Sign of the Beaver. Students will be challenged to keep up with reading assignments and complete short note-taking, writing, and other extension activities after each class to make personal connections and help prepare for upcoming meetings. The teacher will provide slides, video clips, facilitated discussions, and games to play through Gimkit.com. Students will need to be able to accept assignments on Nearpod.com. Please let me know if you have any issues creating a student account and it should be free of charge. NOTE: There is no need to create an account on Gimkit. Students just need to enter a code provided by the teacher in order to play the game.
