During this ten week flexible schedule course, students will be introduced to neuroscience. As this is a flexible schedule course, there will not be any live meetings. Over a four week time period, students will work to define neuroscience and gain knowledge of the different principles within the field. By the end of the course, students will have developed a basic understanding of neuroscience. No background knowledge is required, just an eagerness to learn. The brain is so amazing and fun...
Students will improve their understanding of cells, neural networks, and learn how the brain functions.
I am offering this course to share my knowledge of an intriguing field. In the past, I have worked in many different aspects of the field of psychology. As such, I feel that I have a unique perspective and can share some of my past experiences to encourage a future generation to explore a wonderful field.

A handout(s) will be provided by the teacher. The parent/guardian will be responsible for printing out the handout(s). You must have access to a PDF viewer in order to open and print the handouts. Printing the handout(s) is optional, you may also choose to download and save them rather than print. Lessons will be taught using PowerPoint Presentations and will also incorporate some YouTube videos. This course also utilizes a free online text book.
