Join thousands of writers around the world and complete a novel in one month! NaNoWriMo is a non-profit organization that encourages writing. During the month of November every year, NaNoWriMo hosts an online event that encourages writers to complete a novel with a word count goal of 50,000. I will be hosting this month-long event for middle to high school students (grades 6-12), using the curriculum that is available year-round to educators. Students will focus on working out a story from start to finish and getting it written down. The next step of editing will be considered, but is not the main focus of this class. The goal of every NaNoWriMo participant is to make the word count goal and not worry about editing or proofreading until the story is complete.
As a writer, I have participated in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) event every year for the past 5 years. It's been a great way for me to push myself to write and finish a story. I hope to encourage more young writers with dreams of some day publishing their works. I have also hosted a Young Writers event with a private virtual homeschooling group, and was very impressed by the results!
5 註冊後即可取得文件A link to the official NaNoWriMo YWP workbook is provided upon enrollment (posted in classroom), which you will need to download and print out. At the end of the event, you will receive a certificate that you can print out (Winner certificate for students who complete and meet their set goal, and Participant certificates for those who did not meet their goals but participated in the event). You will also have the option to download and print your completed novel and adjust it to book size, add cover art and more!
