*****Use code BSPRING4 for $4 off for the 1st week***** Each week, we will focus on 8 sight words from the pre-k through third grade and noun list. At the beginning of class, we will read and recognize the sights of the week together. We will work together to solve and spell the mystery word using the picture clues. Each student will write the word on their print out. After practicing the 8 words for week the students will create their own bingo card. The students will write the 8 sights words on their card. This will be great spelling and handwriting practice! The teacher will randomly draw a sight word. We will discuss the sight word and think of a sentence using the sight word. The students will be encouraged to share their sentence, if they would like. We will celebrate each win! Hello!
I’m very excited to be able to teach your child! My favorite subject to teach is reading. I graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Interdisciplinary Studies. I have an Early Childhood through fourth grade Texas certification, along with a supplementary English as Second Language certification. I have taught 11 years in second and third grade. For six years, I have taught English Language Arts and Reading. For two years, I taught on Outschool fulltime. This past school year, I returned back to the classroom to teach Prekindergarten. I have enjoyed being back in the classroom but look forward to teaching Outschool classes in my spare time.
I have spent many years preparing engaging and meaningful lessons. I love hosting fun bingo games all while learning and reviewing sight words. I also offer other fun classes where we can move and wiggle and spell sight words.
As an ELAR teacher, I know how critical phonics, sight words and comprehension is in building a strong reader. My goal as your child’s teacher is to help build the confidence they need to develop a love for reading.評論
