🌸In this ongoing class, the students will read one book a week ahead of time and come to class to discuss. The teachers at Ella Mentry School are driving A.J. crazy! Miss Daisy eats bonbons! *The student will work on developing and sustaining foundational language skills: listening, speaking, discussion, and thinking; oral language. *The student will work on developing comprehension skills by reading assigned texts, making predictions, making personal connections, and generate questions before, during and after reading. *The student will use text evidence to support an appropriate response. *The student will be able to describe the main character’s traits. *The student will be able to describe and understand the main events, the conflict, and the resolution. *The student will be able to discuss the author’s purpose for writing the text.
