Chinese is NOT a phonetic language. Zhuyin or Pinyin is a way to transcribe Chinese characters so people can pronounce them. Let's build the basement together! Pinyin and Zhuyin are just different symbols used to describe the same set of sounds of the Mandarin. Zhuyin has a total of 37 phonetic symbols and consists of all the basic sounds of Mandarin Chinese. So let’s learn another 3 finals (medial) in this lesson. In this one-time short lesson, we are going to learn 1. 3 finals (medial): 一i, ㄨu, ㄩü 2. Colors 3. The common phrase I like This class will primarily be presented in PowerPoint format. After this class, kids will get a practice sheet with all the characters we've learned in class. Practice makes perfect! I hope to see you in class soon!
