We will explore the fun of watercolor while creating these sweet mittens. Students will learn to control the water to paint mix to achieve a nice blend of color. We will discuss what colors to begin a watercolor with, and why shading and hi-lighting are such an important part of a painting. 8 inch by 10 inch watercolor paper, bowl or water, paper towels, number 12 round brush that comes to a point, 1/2 inch square, flat top brush palette paper (or a watercolor tray or foam plate), Watercolor paint. A set is easy to find a craft stores. We will use white, yellow, orange, alizarin crimson(red), purple, blue, green, brown and black.
